Duties will include taking the girls to and from school, bathing, cooking, and ironing for the kids, vacuuming, mopping and general wiping and tidying of the kitchen, general tidying up. I will also expect someone who can be firm with the kids when needed (they wrap people around their fingersƒº) also kind, happy, patient and understanding with kids, A big sister to them really (take them out on walks and maybe shopping). I also give extra pocket money monthly for toiletries, top up and some of the food I can¡¦t provide for you and a mobile phone if you don¡¦t have on My girls attend school full time (8.5-3.15), there would be the daily routine of waking them up, giving them baths and help dress up, prepare breakfast and prepare lunch box (the girls are allergic to fish and don¡¦t eat cheese so lunch box on the days, they are served in school) I encourage the kids to be independent, and limit television time and prepare activities or trips in advance for them or maybe you¡¦re a spontaneous type which is great too! I hope that whoever looks after my kids, will get close to them, they are full of character each one and so different from one another, they both are very cheeky but so adorable. I just need someone to help keep my kids happy, busy and just be great company for them, someone to look up to when I cannot be there. You will also be taking them out swimming (lessons and on whenever we have planned for them to go), helping them with some homework (I will be doing this as well), teaching them your language or culture as my kids are curious and respect the world around them. (They speak a tiny bit of Spanish ¡V Thanks to Dora and Diego) We would love for you to be involved in our family and not hide away in your room when my husband and I are home, we do want to get to know you and help you in any way we can. I generally spend about an hour chatting with my previous au pairs daily. I am still in touch with most of them.
