  About me:

I am a polite, reliable and hard working individual with a caring nature with a strong interest in working with children. The course that I have completed is a BTEC National Diploma in Health Sciences at City and Islington College. During the course I have gained skills and an understanding from studying subjects such Psychology, Effective Communication, Nutrition, Health and Safety and Public Health to name a few. I am constantly working in teams to complete assignments and presentations. These subjects have furthered my interest in working with children to provide quality in a working environment in a community setting. I am willing to carry out any necessary training for the position. I believe I am a good candidate for the role because i have experience in the role as well as achieving a three year certificate for Paediatric First Aid. I also have good time management and very organised.
I am also flexible to work shifts including day and evening shifts and I am prepared and able to attend for any training course. I have experience working as a Nursery Assistant at the well known Little Angels day Nursery and as a Baby Sitter for Hopes and Dreams Montessori Nursery, during this time I learnt how to communicate well with children as well as looking after them. This included working with a variety of children from 7 months onwards. This has given me the confidence to work independently and give customers the best service possible.
The tasks as a Nursery Assistant at the Little Angels Nursery included talking, providing help with the children’s lunches and catering to most of their needs, I love working with a team as team building is what makes the working environment friendlier. As a Nanny/Baby sitter I feel you will need the skills and ability to communicate effectively and in a caring and respectful manner, the ability to practice ethically and demonstrate responsible and accountable behaviour and the ability to work effectively as a member of the role I am representing. I also think that we need the ability to critically and creatively to meet the varying needs of clients taking into consideration aspects such as dietary requirements.
From working at Hopes and Dreams Montessori Nursery as a baby sitter I was able to deal with complaints and enquiries, in a calm and professional manner.
