I am a qualified nursery nurse with 20 years experience working with children from birth- 5 years. I have an SVQ level 3 in childhood . At the moment I work full time in a private Montessori nursery. I presently hold the position as deputy manager however this is a very hands on approach looking after chiildren as well as some office based duties. I am therefore registered with the SSSC and also Disclosure Scotland. I have a Appointed first aid certificate . I am looking to change my current position as I feel I would like a more flexible working environment with less hours of employment.
I am a trustworthy, kind and loving person with a wealth of knowledge and understanding of children. As a parent myself with a grown up daughter I know how difficult it can be juggling home life with busy demanding jobs.
I enjoy yoga, walking and generally keeping active with a fun approach to life. |

I currently work full time as a deputy manager in a Montessori privately owned nursery for children aged 2-5 years. My duties include looking after a key group of children delivering a safe, healthy, nurturing and stimulating enviroment . Equally important is a child’s confidence and self esteem which is paramount in their early years of development. I am passionate about caring and educating young children with particular emphasis on their emotional wellbeing. My duties also include office based duties but as this is a small nursery my involvement is more with the children. I have the responsibility of looking after the nursery in the manager/ owners absence. I currently hold the relevant documents to work with young children. I also have first aid training. I am trained in CPR. I regularly upskill my knowledge within childcare through relevant courses. I also have training in child protection.
