| I am a proactive, organised and friendly individual who is a qualified youth worker with a SVQ level 3 in youth work. I have experience in various children and young people roles in my previous job i worked for one of the UKs leading children's charities barnardos. it was essential in my role with barnardos that young people feel they could get support and guidance from me through their academic and person lives. I see myself as a friendly and approachable individual due to my experience supporting a wide range of individuals in this role. i am a committed and reliable person skills that i feel i gained through my last job i worked there for four years and have completed an SVQ in Youth Work and have been relied upon to deliver training to over 200 young people in a professional capacity. I was responsible for 10 young people at a time in a teaching capacity, my job was to teach employability skills to young people so i am capable of working with more than one young person at a time. I am an extremely patient and understanding individual both in my professional role and also in my personal life, i have been babysitting my 2 younger siblings for years (aged 9 and 10), whom of which has autism and ADHD so i have experience with children with complex needs. I have also been helping out over the years at a music school i have attend since I was 8 years old, I have helped run children’s party’s, taught them general music and vocals. In 2016 i attended as a finalist the SQA star awards as a finalist and received a “highly commended” award at Edinburgh’s assembly rooms for my outstanding work on my youth work qualification. I was also the first person to complete a platinum award within Barnardo’s which is the equivalent of an advance higher. i also have also completed the following from my time at barnardos emergency first aid training at work, protecting adults at risk, safeguarding and protecting children, equality and diversity training, basic health and safety and fire safety, data protection and introduction to counselling. I also have various music qualifications and certificates although not relevant music is always something nice to do with children and young people. I am a bubbly, confident, outgoing, patient person who is a quick learner and edger to follow my dream of working with children and young people. |
