  About me:

I am a young outgoing, carining individual who always puts others needs before my own. My immediate family is quite big, growing up with 3 brothers and 5 sisters has been the best thing ever. Within my family i am one of the middle children but always the one my siblings would confide in if they had any problems. I love to put a smile on someones face and find it very rewarding to make people happy. Being a middle child came with the responsibility of helping to raise my younger siblings with their ages ranging from 3 months of age up until the age of 7. With my parents working long hours i enjoyed the reponsibility of looking after my sisters which was the best experience as we have such a close relationship. I think one of my best attributes is being understanding and empathetic, i love to listen to people’s opinions and encourage positivity. I think i am also very child like and creative as i do enjoy caring for my 3 year old nephew, and love to find different ways to keep him occupied. In terms of hobbies i enjoy reading in my spare time i find it so easy to get lost in a good book. I also enjoy interior designs, as i am forever redecorating my bedroom and other rooms in the house. I find it quite therapeutic to paint and think its refreshing to have change every so often. I also really enjoy cooking its something i enjoy alone and involving younger siblings, i love to bake. All in all I believe i am a very positive and happy person who loves to work with children, whether they are young or in their teams, i am very adaptable and have experience with all ages.

  Work Experience & Education Background

Work Experience 5 Yrs, references 2
I have had a lot of input in the raising of my younger siblings and have provided care for them for a large part of my life. This experience would range from changing nappies, using formula milk, looking after more that one child but also juggling their individual needs. Being a carer you have to be able multitask and manage time in the best way possible. It is also important to be attentive, and hands on. I usually create day plans of things to do based on the childs age and needs. I feel its important to ensure children are very active, whether theyre actively learning or taking partnin fun activities.

I am currently caring for a 7 year old who is a very girly girl. She loves dresses and all things pink. Butnis also at an age where she wants to be on her t all the time and because of the environment she is in she has a little bit of sass sometimes. But when I provided care for her i tailor my day to her in the best way. After school she will change her clothes and ensure her room is tidy before completing any necessary homework. Once all homework is done she usually has half an hour play, before having dinner and getting ready for bed.
Having provided car for this little lady for so long we have built a good relationship but as she gets older she no longer needs someone to care for her .

I also provide care for a 2 year old on weekends. The young boy whom i look after is very full of energy but is also at the terrible twos stage. I find it very good to create day plans in advance and try and alwas find different things to do each weekend to fulfill his needs. He loves play dough so we do tend to have a play dough session every weekend. I cook him lunch and dinner both saturday and sunday again trying to keep it different including a lot if vegetables. When i first met this young boy he was very fussy but will eat everything on his plate now. He had become more willing to try new things. He is also now successfully toilet trained which is amazing.
