As for my examination qualifications, I have completed a BA in Spanish language, literature and linguistics, some specific courses in bilingual classroom and coaching for educational professionals. In these years, my effort and my qualifications have been improving progressively, achieving several distinctions in my last year of degree.
Concerning my experience working with children in a classroom setting in a post-primary school setting, in February 2014 I undertook a placement in a Primary School as part of my Teacher Training degree’s, which allowed me to get closer to the reality of the classroom. After that, I worked as a nursery teacher in London. This great experience gave me the opportunity to improve my classroom management strategies and learn about the British educational system. In addition, I developed strong problem solving skills and the ability to build professional relationships with colleagues.
I found the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable and learnt many skills for the future: above all the importance of effective communication, maintaining good order and discipline amongst students under one’s care and safeguarding their health and safety at all times.
Lastly, over the years I have developed my computer literacy using a wide range of computer packages such us Microsoft office, Open office and Adobe Photoshop.
