My name is Tiffany. I am originally from Edinburgh but live in the West End of Glasgow currently. I have had nannying experience in the past – picking up from school most days and staying over some weekends. I am fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and can speak French fairly well. I am free most days – I have a part time job in Public Relations but can schedule that around the kids. I can do overnight stays, pickup from school, and other arrangements regarding the kids can be discussed. |

Work Experience 5 Yrs, references 3 |
I was a nanny to a lovely ten year old girl for over a year. The job consisted of picking her up from school, assisting her with homework, making dinners that the mum requested, and then playing with her (if she got everything done) up until when her parents would get home later in the evening. I also did simple household chores like hoovering, washing dishes and obviously, cooking. Staying overnight during most weekends was also required as the parents would come home late from dinner parties etc. , or be away on trips, and I took care of her neighbour on some days (more the merrier. ).
Being a form prefect at school meant that I had to take over lessons and supervise the classes of younger girls when their teachers had school meetings. This was a challenging but overall fantastic experience – I got to know all the girls in Primary 6, and grew to absolutely adore them. I also got the chance to get to know the girls of a Primary 3 class as I played games with them in their classroom a few hours a week.
On top of this, I was a Primary 1 lunch helper, meaning I would go with the kids to have their food (I usually had free periods during their lunchtime as the Junior School girls have an earlier lunch than the older girls) since their teachers appreciated an extra few pairs of hands. As they had just started ‘proper’ school they were still getting used to it and also still getting used to using their cutlery. This meant most of the time (up until near the end of the year anyway) I would go round the s to see what they wanted to eat and help them cut up their food. chat to them. and just lend a hand with whatever they needed a bit of help with. This was a really rewarding experience as I watched them grow and achieve even little things such as being able to use a knife and fork by the end of the year.
I have also had work experience working with young children at a school and did volunteering at the Riding for the Disabled Association a good few years where I had a role with helping the kids in lessons etc.
All these have required good time management skills. a good, friendly attitude, patience, and dedication. I am an extremely friendly and approachable person with a bubbly personality, and I will ensure that the children are well looked after at all times.
I am very flexible. I work in PR but that can be scheduled around the kids.
