Hi there. My name is Samantha Burton (but you can call me Sam if you wish), I'm 19 years old and currently living in St. Johns, Canada. I'm a proud Canadian, and I was raised here in Newfoundland, growing up in a very small town called Kings Point with roughly 300 people. I'm currently studying a B. A in Music Education at Memorial University, and loving it so far but I'm looking to take a year or more off to explore other opportunities.
I'm very family oriented and I'm quite outgoing and social, but I do enjoy my alone time as well. My friends say I'm funny, (but then again I have a very simple sense of humour). Growing up I spent a lot of time with my older cousins and looked up to them as my brothers and sisters. When I was 8, I was blessed with a baby brother named Jackson, who is now 11 and he makes me so proud to be his big sister every single day. I have two dogs, Jersey and Koda and a horse named Ginger and they're my babies. . I am a huge animal lover.
In my free time I love biking, hiking, playing hockey and swimming, and I love making music. I am a singer, and I'm currently working on an EP which I'm very excited about. Music is my passion, if you like it we will get along just fine. I'm pretty independent, and since being at University I've come accustomed to waking up early so that shouldn't be an issue.
Ideally, I would like to be with a family that is open with communication, and has a sense of humour. I would love to be a part of the family.

Over the course of a year I worked with a local daycare in Springdale, NL and I have been babysitting for locals, family and friends since I was roughly 14 years old, along with taking care of my younger brother.
While working with the day care, I took care of children from the age range 3-12. Duties include, going on trips to the park, sliding, skating, swimming, cooking, arts and crafts and much more. I would help prepare snacks for lunch time, help them wash up and read stories. I thoroughly enjoyed working there, and would definitely do it all over again. |
