I am a hardworking, reliable and friendly individual with a first class honours degree in Education Studies and a 120 hours TEFL certificate. I am passionate about pursuing a career teaching English as a second language in the future, and I enjoy working with children. Last year I was an au pair in the Republic of Ireland for 6 months with a family of three children aged 5, 7 and 9. My roles included: taking and picking up the children from school, tidying their bedrooms, washing and ironing their clothes, preparing their lunch and evening meals, taking them to different activities such as rugby and swimming, doing different activities with them such as drawing, colouring and playing games, and taking them on trips out to the playground. I really enjoyed this experience and I met some great people from around the world including from Italy, Canada and Austria. In September, I am going to work as an au pair again for 9 months in Spain. Therefore, I am looking for temporary work from now until the end of August.
My previous job was a community support worker working with adults and children to support them to remain independent while staying in their own homes. Through this job, I gained 4 months experience working with children with special needs as it involved working with other staff on a mini bus every Saturday, and taking a group of children on trips out to various places including museums, parks, the theatre and play centres which had a sensory room.
I am currently a supply teaching assistant in primary schools and nurseries, but I am looking for additional childcare work or a more full time position.
My hobbies and interests are: reading, shopping, listening to music, travelling, going to the cinemas/theatre/museums, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy learning about different cultures and languages, and I have started learning Spanish at beginner level. |

I have previous work experience in primary schools and nurseries when I was at college. This involved doing any tasks the teacher had asked me to do including photocopying and filing, interacting with the staff and children, helping the children with Maths and English work, listening to the children read and reading them stories, helping the children get changed for PE, and helping to tidy up.
Last year, I worked as an au pair in Ireland for six months for a family with three children aged 5, 7 and 9 looking after the children while their parents were at work.
I have 4 months experience working with children with special needs which I gained through my previous job as a community support worker. This involved taking groups of children on trips out on a mini bus with other staff members every Saturday.
I am currently working as a supply teaching assistant through an agency, and I currently volunteer at rainbows every Monday which involves doing different activities with the children such as arts and crafts, singing, and playing games.
