| I am 16 years old and live in Birmingham. Although to many, a 16 year old is not seen as suitable for childcare, I have been around children for most of my upbringing. My passion for looking after children began at around the age of 9 when I would work in my church crèche. I then moved to India at the age of 10, where I lived for 3 years. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit orphanages, nurseries and schools frequently which I absolutely loved. I also babysat for friends whilst I was there, and even had a job with a child, reading to him and interacting with him. Now living back in the UK, I still love looking after children, and also did work experience in the intensive care unit in the Birmingham children’s hospital last year. I have always been told I have a gift with children, and would love to carry this on through babysitting. |
