To whom this may concern, Kahurangi worked for Back2Naure Childcare as an in-home educator for approximately three months, beginning December 2017. She cared for a high needs child and her two siblings over the summer holidays and for a few weeks during the term. They ranged in age from 5years to 12years old. We found Kahurangi to be extremely reliable, punctual and professional. She was able to cope with some challenging behaviours and find strategies to overcome challenges. She built beautiful relationships with the children and they were very sad to see her go. The children’s Mother was very pleased with the activities and experiences and the authentic care she provided. She began to understand and use our curriculum document “Te Whariki” whilst working with us and is going to work in a childcare centre where this knowledge will be deepened. Kahurangi seemed to enjoy her time working with us and we valued everything she did for the family – she went above and beyond to help. We are sad she is leaving us. Kahurangi is well liked by everyone, is committed, uses initiative and has good values. We wish her the best in everything she chooses to do and will miss having her around. Nga Mihi Mahana (Warm Regards) Pania Baxter Mentoring Teacher for Back2Nature Childcare.

This letter is a written reference for Kahurangi Salu who was employed by Valleys Junior Treasures from February 2018 to July 2018. I was straight away impressed with Kahu’s attitude, work ethic, enthusiasm, attention to detail, and great sense of humour. We knew she would be a great fit for our early childhood centre, (after Kahu doing relieving for a short time). We offered Kahurangi a full time position with our company and were pleased when she accepted. The role Kahu performed in full-time un qualified teacher at Valleys Junior Treasures was a diverse and challenging one, that included individual child planning, setting activies, amongst many other tasks. This role is incredibly busy and required dealing with a wide range of clients with varying demands. Kahu handled these intense times with grace and professionalism. We are sorry to lose Kahu and sincerely wish her all the very best for her next endeavour. We would not hesitate to recommend Kahurangi for any future employer. I am happy to reiterate these comments or provide further information if required. Please contact me on 0212517922 Kind Regards Amy Griffiths and Brendon White Managing Director
