I have worked in Early years with children aged 2 - 5 for 4 years in various establishments. I have had the opportunity to cover staff on maternity leave, sick leave and even temporary positions until the post is filled. This has been extremely useful for me as it has allowed to me see different establishments, different settings, different children and different ways other staff use their skills and qualities in providing high quality care for the children. Because of this I enjoy observing others and love to learn new ways to keep the children stimulated, engaged and can approach a child’s needs according to their age and milestones.
I have had a variety of experience working with children aged 3 to 5 yrs and am a fully qualified nursery practitioner who is looking for a hands on job with less children to work with in comparison to working with 100 children daily. I can drive, clean, i am mature, sensible and fully independent bubbly individual who is lovely with children within the mentioned age range and I have a variety of experiences due to my 4 years of working In nursery environment in providing a 5 star service for your child. I can't cook. I can do daily chores like tidying, laundry, follow a child’s timetable, help with homework, I can assist in toilet training, toothbrush trained, if you have arrangements for car seat for your child I’m happy to drive to parks, and even do groceries shopping. I am available for emergencies, available full time, everyday for now, basically i’m a fully qualified child development officer The only thing I need assistance in is making food, I can make ready meals and simple things like fry, boil, and bake. And follow simple recipes Such as pizzas, baked potato, cakes etc. I can take them out for food aswell if requested and other outdoor activities if required. I have knowledge of padagogy play, using natural resources, love nature and love children going to woodland parks, being messy and muddy. I also believe in a child centred approach, GIRFEC approach, knowledge of building the ambition document and national care standards as well as a list of fun activities I can do according to their age range. I provide nurturing approach, have excellent skills in observing their mood and behaviour and planning accordingly and can calmly discipline them if need be. Due to my high skills of understanding children’s age milestones I can also assist in giving you recommendations for your child’s next steps to ensure your child is receiving a stimulating and appropriate lifestyle, and can give parenting tips on how to handle challenging children and practicing disciplining them. I love to take challenges, so I would happily accept a child with additional needs under my care and newborns although I have little experience. I experiences in caring any child from 2 onwards. I have skills of high level children interaction, and aware of emergency situations. I am organised, a perfectionist and an approachable individual who can be trusted, relied upon and assist in your daily lives in providing you ease and giving your child high quality experiences within my care.
