I have always wanted to enjoy my employment and a career working with children and young people. I have experience working in two schools: one in Scotland and one in Spain. Currently, I am working as an Au Pair in Spain, however my contract is due to end in 6 weeks hence seeking new employment.
In Scotland, I live at home with my mum, step dad, two younger brothers and my cat and dog. After school, I went to college and achieved my HNC in Social Sciences with a grade A. Then I decided I wanted to spend some time working and gaining practical experience. In my free time, I enjoy playing piano, reading, cooking, sports, art and music. |

In 2015/16 I volunteered for 5 months in a local primary school. This involved helping the class teacher in various subjects, working closely with small groups of children to improve their understanding of certain tasks, monitoring at break and home time, accompanying on school trips and preparing for classes.
In addition to this, I am currently living and working in Zaragoza in Spain as an Au Pair, my main duties are childcare, teaching the children English and about British/Scottish culture and society, general household tasks, cooking meals, and taking the children to and from school. I am also studying Spanish at the official language school.
While staying here, I am also volunteering as an English language assistant in a local bilingual primary school. I have to plan lessons, deliver them, think up creative ways to engage the children in tasks and work closely with the pupils to ensure their understanding. |
