I'm experienced in childcare but young enough to still have lots of energy. (age range of young people I've worked with 0-17). I 'm a qualified teacher but have branched off to do drama workshops, work with young people in outdoors activities and I've also been a play leader. I've always looked after children in my wider family and held professional jobs involving young people completing direct work. I've also worked in brain injury rehab units with adults with autism physical disability, mental health and challenging needs.
I like going for picnics, doing arts and crafts, cinema and i'm a gym member. I've travelled across Europe and spent 6 months living in Italy supporting young people to enjoy drama and theatre.
I'd like a local role now in the west midlands and i'm free to work from November 2018.

I've worked in school setting for the last 9 years including being a qualified teacher, nursery assistant, teaching assistant and play worker as well as working in summer schools.
This has included overseeing a classroom of up to 30 children or completing 1-1 direct work with children who have extra learning needs such as ASD. I've assisted on school trips and holidays away from the school site with young people.
Initiating creative play, arts and theatre is a particular interest of mine which I've been fortunate enough to enjoy with a number of groups of young people and I've also delivered drama workshops abroad in Italy.
In my current position as an outdoor activity instructor I've looked after the children during their individual activity sessions through out the day and overseeing their welfare at night e. g health and safety and ensuring the young people are safe and sound.
During the course of my career and experience to date i'm first aid qualified and have numerous safeguarding training certificates. Child welfare and safety with safeguarding responsibility has always been intrinsic to the professional roles I've undertaken.
