I have worked with children in a professional capacity i. e thrown cuildren’s parties in the workplace, and been a guide leader which saw me responsible for over 30 girls. I have also babysat for various family members.
I absolutely adore children and find that I manage to get a special connection with them when I meet them. I’ve been called a baby whisperer more than once and have some tricks up my sleeve when it comes to kids.
Although I am new to professionally being a childminder, I would adapt my methods for each child I would be looking after. Every child deserves to be listened to and respected, no matter their circumstances. I would review my methods with the child’s parents every few weeks at the beginning to make sure I am the right fit for the child and then play by ear once everything has settled. |
