I am a musician and artist and studied illustration when I lived in Edinburgh.
I love to cook healthy meals and like to come up with my own recipes and experiment when I have the time.
I also enjoy walking in nature, keeping fit (I go swimming as often as I can as well as walks when I can get out the city) and getting stuck in to a book.
I can ski (relatively well), ice skate and skateboard.
I love to travel, my dad lives in South Africa so I go visit him out there when I can.
I have 3 years of experience nannying for a family of 3 children who were 6, 9 and 11 when I started in Edinburgh
I would walk them home from school, walk them to their classes, assist with any homework, make dinner and then use what ever time was left for some fun activities before a bedtime story. I learned a lot in those 3 years but I know there is always more to learn as every kid is different.

Work Experience & Education Background |

Work Experience 3 Yrs, references 2 |
I worked for the Burnett family for 3 years. I looked after 3 children between 6-11. My main tasks involved picking them up from school, walking to their after school activities, preparing dinner, assisting with homework, entertaining them before their parents arrived back with crafts or a game of some sort. Occasionally I would be required to stay over night and make sure everyone was bathed and had their bedtime story before lights out. The children also had special dietary requirements so all meals where made from scratch with low saturated fat content.
I led zine making workshops for groups of children that attended and after school club in the Muirhouse area of Edinburgh. I would plan each workshop and bring the required materials, making sure the activity would engage and be suitable for the varying age group that attended. There was extra support workers during the workshops as some of the children had behavioural issues.
I also assisted my sister in law with my two nieces when they were babies, I would stay for several nights at a time over several months so have experience with younger children also. |
