  Work Experience & Education Background

Work Experience 3 Yrs, references 0
In Portugal, I worked as an art therapist for two years in a school with socially vulnerable pre-adolescents (between 11 and 13 years old). In the last year of the graduation and during my post-graduate studies I also worked as a babysitter. I was employed by three families with children between 3 months and 6 years old.
In one case, the parents were working in their PhD’s and I took care of their daughter in the morning while they were writing in their offices. I used to play with her, give her a bath, prepare lunch and put her to sleep. The other family had two children. I started taking care of them when the older was 3 and the younger had just a few months. I stayed with them for three years. I used to pick them up at school once or twice a week, bring them home, play with them, give them a bath, and prepare dinner. sometimes, when parents wanted to go out, I would stay until bed time or later. When they met with other parents, I took care of a maximum of 4 children. For the third family, I used to pick up a couple of twins at school and do the same daily routine: bath, dinner and play.
I consider myself to be very kind and easy-going with children. Because of my experience as an art therapist, I also tend to have nice ideas for creative activities. The way we play as children, I believe, has a great influence on how we grow up.
