  About me:

Background:

Coming from a large family background, caring for others both young and elderly is something that has been naturally instilled within me from a young age, with the vast majority of my relatives working within the health / social care service and also demonstrating to me what it is to possess a pure and instinctive nature of selflessness and compassion.

When attending primary school in the years 5 and 6 I was personally selected to become a part of the ‘buddy system’ which granted me with the great opportunity of looking after and offering my support to a lovely boy named Cameron who was autistic. My ‘buddying’ responsibility was present from Cameron’s fourth to sixth birthday. During this time I would provide better support of his class work, behavioural and social needs and encourage/help him build confidence whilst integrating and forming positive friendships with other children.

It is a strong part of my nature to not only care for and nurture others, but to work well and create a fun environment for children. I personally have 5 nephews - ages 11, 7, 3, 7 months and the newest due any day now. (Thus I have a GREAT lot of babysitting experience. closely looking after children that are all of different age ranges).

In February 2017 I spent two weeks in Napoli, Italy looking after a sweet and energetic 4 year old girl called Mina. The entire experience was amazing, not only did we both have fun, but my basic knowledge of Italian developed a lot due to the educational games we would play at times during the day. Since leaving Italy I have kept contact with little Mina who is still adamant we play together over Skype.
