  About me:

I am a recently qualified Primary School teacher, graded as 'Outstanding' by the University of Leeds. I have secured a full time teaching position for September 2017 in South Leeds, and I am therefore looking for a Private Tutor role and/or babysitting or part time Nanny role to commence asap and for the duration of the summer if needed.

I am a positive, patient and engaging person and I have really enjoyed caring for a class of 30 children. I understand that consistency and routines are crucial within family life and therefore I am flexible and adaptable. I'm prepared to think outside the box and make play and learning an enjoyable and durable experience.

I am a very creative person, I enjoy arts and crafts, music, dance and singing and love helping children to find their own creativity. I love the outdoors and am prepared to play outside come rain or shine. (I also have a very happy puppy that would love to join us on woodland adventures if I was to work with animal lovers. )

My previous working role before starting a PGCE was within Children's services, working with deprived families with a range of complex issues. This included parenting and non-engagement with education. I worked intensively with children with additional needs such as Autism and ADHD and also with children with a reluctance to engage with education for a range of reasons.

I have also worked as an Early Intervention Practitioner, assisting families with learning through play, weaning, healthy eating, speech development, boundaries, routines and positive parenting.

I have a 2:1 undergraduate degree in Primary Education Studies, and have just completed a School Direct PGCE in Primary Teaching with QTS. Studying the School Direct route means that I have spent the majority of the course working within a school teaching full time.

I have undertaken several CPD courses conducted by the local authority including Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Children.

I would be willing to complete some housekeeping duties and I enjoy preparing and cooking meals.
