Working with children and young people is an interest which has become a passion which I intend to make a good career out of. I've had a great interest in this from a young age. Through previous experiences, I have realised how much I enjoy helping others and giving them the care they need.
Currently I am into my second year at the Open University studying BSC Honours in Psychology which is where my interest in mental health in young adults has developed. With this I have 8 years’ experience with child protection ranging from Primary school and Nursery work to voluntary youth worker roles. Furthermore, I have 6 years’ experience with additional support needs and mental health issues.
I also have numerous relevant training certificates ranging from Paediatric/First Aid, Child Protection and Managing Behaviour.
My experience shows how driven I am in this line of work, but I am also very determined to grow and improve too. I'm willing to go above and beyond, and work hard to meet the demands this kind of job can bring.
